Doma Vaquera (Spanish Cowboy Training) can describe as a combination between Western Reining and Dressage

The Spanish Alta Escuela will include all of the Grand Prix movements and will also include specialty moves, such as Spanish Walk, Canter Backwards (only with some horses), Canter on the Spot (only with some horses), Airs above the ground (only some horses), and other movements.

      

Our trainer-Antonio Topete Diaz

Antonio (Tony) attended the Centaur Institute of Classical Equine Studies (CICES) from which he graduated as a Certified horse trainer of Classical riding. Under the tutelage of the great master Walter Scerturgnigsak (1920-2008), former rider of The Spanish Riding School and student of Chief Rider Wenzel Zrust. Tony has also taken instruction from courses, clinics and seminars held by horsemen such as Bill Dorrance, Pat Parelli, Walter Zettl, Arthur Kottas, amongst others. Tony has written articles in horse magazines such as  the horse magazine The PRE Horse and currently gives private lectures, lessons, and clinics in California. Antonio Topete Diaz has also recently written a book in Spanish titled El Caballo De Baile Formas De Entrenamiento, Manejos y Aclaraciones, that talks about the correct and incorrect training of the piaffe.
